home

home has been a fluid concept in the past week as I have left my parents' home, in order to move to a temporary home, while i find a new home, in a city that i have learned to call home.

chicago is not only "the second city" but it is my second city -- my home away from home. and this past week i moved back to this place that i loved so much when i lived here just over a year ago. this week i started a new job (that's so far, so good) and have found a new place that will be my home at least for the next year. i am eagerly waiting for tuesday to move in!

this weekend, however, i treasured my couple days that i spent at home in holland.
i got to share jakson's first experience at the zoo -- as much as he loves his animal books and sounds -- he was a bit timid when it came to petting the goats and touching the turtle. he was great, though and i was so glad i got to be there!


kameron was a sweetpea this weekend. i was so excited to spend sometime just holding him. this morning i was able to feed him and hold him while nicole got ready -- and then i even got to help with bath time. he is just so precious.


although i have moved out of holland, i realize i will be back there quite a bit this summer with weddings and such -- and i am thankful for those reasons. this weekend was a lovely time spent with my family and also a great night with friends. i have been really blessed with wonderful people in my life!
