so, i will admit i've been to trader joe's twice in one week. i might be slightly obsessed. but i encourage you to go if you have one in a 30 mile radius because it was the best grocery shopping experience i've ever had. my favorite purchase there so far is the mandarin lime soda made with cane sugar. ahhh....

today i walked my not-so-little booty over to sister arts studio. i've been wanting to put my hands to use and pick up knitting. i went in search of yarn, and yarn i found. i also found a group of ten little girls who were all fighting over Donna's help and attention during their valentine making class. If you have kids and live in Chicago, I would highly recommend this place. Donna was so patient and the crafts they were making were awesome. However, her patience and guidance doesn't come for free...one little girl announced to everyone that she knew how much the class cost. Drum roll please...

One class = $75

However, the class is four hours long and i heard talks of pizza and other treats. So, if you have the money, I'd highly recommend getting rid of your child for half the day so they can go express their creative side at Sister Arts.

Oh, and if you were wondering, I got this great pea green alpaca yarn in addition to an emerald teal peruvian wool.

I'm making a cowl neck scarf (at least i think that's the proper name) also known as a scarflette. it is similar to this, but i'm using my pea green yarn. i'll post a photo when i'm done.

did you happen to notice i added a new pair of earrings over there in my shop?

ok...so i'm leavin in the morning for california for 2 days (with no internet) before australia so i won't be able to check this for a few days, but where are you going in spain and when? i feel like it's coming up soon and if it is have a BLAST! if you end up going to barcelona let me know and i'll give you some ideas of what to do there since that's the only place we went to, but i would imagine you'd be hittin up the not-so-touristy places...but who knows! have fun and take care of yourself over there!

oh good, well i'll be quick now cause im in the airport and my comp is about to die. but i also have 1 or 2 blog entries on barcelona so you can go back and check those. the best thing we did was rent these things call "go cars" which were a blast and you can take all over the city and they lead you on guided tours. you are allowed to drive them as long as you got your license from home so don't forget that. look it up in advance cause it's in a little alley and hard to find if you don't know where you're going...we passed the street like 8 times looking at them. the restaurant sandwich and friends is delicious and the markets are good too. go down la ramblas since they have all the people dressed up and fun stuff going on there, but a good idea to do during the day since pickpocketing is crazy (get a money belt before going) and also down by the casino and beaches there are some really good restaurants on the sea and some clubs if you get bored at night. oh and one more thing, go check out gaudi's park and apartments. the go car tours will take you all through it so if you do those you'll see it, but if you don't do them you need to find a way to go check it out on your own. that's all i can think of for now off the top of my head, have fun!
