as the new year rolls in, there are so many thoughts that enter my mind on what i want to do differently in 2010, what i need to get done, what i would like to accomplish--thoughts on what this year will bring in regards to occupation, residence and relationships.
the past few years i have chosen themes to bring to the forefront of my mind, themes that serve as a mantra. rather than setting forth a long list of resolutions that are likely forgotten as february and march roll around, i like to stick to one theme that is the underlying force of my actions, deeds and thoughts.
2009 & 2008 were focused on love & peace. this year, as brought to mind by the advent season, will be focused in, drum roll please......
joy--deep-rooted joy.
as we ring in 2010, i do so in a mindset focused on joy. i ring in this new year grounded in knowing where my joy comes from & that joy trumps circumstance.
I believe that this joy will spur me to live in a certain way and to do certain things. i do have goals. i have tangible resolutions that i would like to accomplish. for those goals, I find this might be helpful, so check this out if you need some help in outlining your goals and resolutions.
happy, joyful new year!
