this morning's commute was met with a return to an old book. i've visited this book multiple times, but have yet to read it in its entirety.
Brennan Manning's The Ragamuffin Gospel is so beautifully written. He tells stories and touches upon countless theological issues, concepts, and ideas. I turned to a page that I had previously marked up. This chapter on wonder...the short phrase I had noted before struck me again as something to remember:
"The spirituality of wonder knows the world is charged with grace, that while sin and war, disease and death are terribly real, God's loving presence and power in our midst are even more real"
