winter bloom

Felt flowers seem to be all the rage this winter and they are all over etsy. So, as the snow was coming down, I decided to try my hand at creating one of my own. I was pleasantly surprised how it turned out if you'd like to try your own, this is the "how-to" that i loosely followed to create it.



I hate to wait, so this is in backwards order with the finished product first :) I chose a gray felt, mostly because lack of choice, but I like how it looks.


Like I said the snow was coming down...seriously a winter wonderland outside

Don't look too closely, the stitch job is a mess. But it didn't really matter, as you sew the individual pieces together you stack the three separate sets on top of each other.

If you're left handed and there are no sharp scissors in the house, you may need to solicit some help on the cutting :) thanks dad!
